FOREST, Va. – Shenandoah University had six student-athletes earn All-ODAC honors for women's lacrosse in selections announced Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
Junior Samantha Sisson leads this group with her first team selection at midfield.
Juniors Ashley Cross, Erin Oliver and sophomore Liz Bereit garnered second team selections at goalkeeper, defense and midfield, respectively, while Corrinne Kosmowski and Amy Rollins rounded out the honorees by grabbing third team accolades.
Kosmowski was picked at midfield and Rollins on attack.
Sisson led the Hornets to a 12-5 finish and an appearance in the ODAC Championship game with 51 goals and 26 assists for 77 points.
Her goal and assist totals were both fifth best in the league.
Sisson also finished second in the league in both groundballs and caused turnovers and seventh in draw controls.
Cross led the league in goals against average, was fourth in save percentage, fifth in saves and tied for the league lead in goals allowed in her third season as the Hornets starter in the cage.
Bereit, who missed two games and the majority of another with a leg injury, had 31 goals and 18 assists for 49 points.
Oliver, in her first season on defense after playing attack as a freshman and sophomore, solidified the Hornets defense in front of Cross.
She finished the year with 17 groundballs and nine caused turnovers.
Kosmowski had 37 goals and six assists to finish fourth on the team in scoring and her 58 draw controls was second only to Sisson.
She also had 24 groundballs and seven caused turnovers.
Rollins had a second-best-on-team 39 goals to go along with six assists for 45 points. She recorded at least one goal in all but one game this season.
