FOREST, Va. – This week begins three ODAC Tournaments and the Shenandoah University baseball, softball and women's lacrosse teams will all be participating in their inaugural ODAC Championships.
Coach Lindsey Lutz' women's lacrosse team headlines these three teams as a No. 2 seed and will play a semi-final round game at home next Saturday.
Saturday's semi-final is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
Should SU win, the championship game will be played on the campus of the highest remaining seed on May 4.
Like the women's lacrosse team, the baseball squad finished tied for second in the ODAC regular season standings, but Kevin Anderson's squad will be the third seed in the six-team baseball tournament.
The six-team tournament will play a double-elimination format at Lynchburg City Stadium, the home of the Class A Lynchburg Hillcats.
Anderson's Hornets will face No. 4 seed Washington and Lee on Thursday at 6:00 in the final game of the opening day of the tournament.
The softball team finished tied for fifth and will be the No. 6 seed in the eight-team double elimination tournament.
This tournament will be contested from Friday through Sunday at the Moyer Complex in Salem.
As the No. 6 seed, Shenandoah will take on third-seeded Roanoke in a 2:00 Friday, first round contest. The winner of this game will take on the winner of the No. 2 Lynchburg vs No. 7 Randolph game at 6:00 while the two losing teams from those first round games will play each other in a 4:00 elimination contest.
