WINCHESTER, Va. - Two more Shenandoah University spring sport programs began practice Monday as both the men's and women's lacrosse teams got their 2013 seasons officially started.
The SU men, under the direction of second-year coach Mike Kruger, got things started with a 6 a.m. practice on the Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium turf.
Kruger had 26 men at his opening practice and the squad has its first game on February 23 at Alvernia.
The home opener is March 2 versus Hood.
The SU women, led by fifth year coach Lindsey Lutz, had 19 women at her afternoon practice.
