Women's Lax Adds Seven

WINCHESTER, Va. - Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Lindsey West announced Friday that she has successfully recruited seven student-athletes into her program for the spring of 2010.

West, who just completed her first year at the helm of the Hornets, welcomes student-athletes from California, Colorado, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia into her first recruiting class.

She has three midfielders, a defender and three goalkeepers to add to her stable of 13 returnees.

Last season, West led the team to its best record in the past three seasons and into the USA South Conference semi-finals for the first time since 2007.

The Hornets open up the 2010 campaign on February 27 with an away game at Washington & Jefferson.
