Ott Paces Women's Lax Selections

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C - Sophomore Jennie Ott leads four women‘s lacrosse players who earned All-USA South Conference honors in selections announced Thursday by the conference office.

Ott, a midfielder, was named first team All-USA South after leading the Hornets with a school-record 22 assists and is second in goals with 17.

Ott leads the USA South in both groundballs and caused turnovers per game and her groundballs mark is good for 21st in the country.

In addition to Ott's selection on the 12-woman first team, coach Lindsey West had two women named to the honorable mention team.

Sophomores Sara Mucciaro and Paola Aguilar were picked at midfield and attack, respectively, to give the program its most All-USA South honorees since 2007.

Mucciaro's 32 goals and 49 points leads the squad with Aguilar second in both groundballs and caused turnovers.

Ellen Steinsholt gave the team one final honoree with her placement on the Sportsmanship team.
