The Shenandoah University women's golf team is under the direction of Professional Golfer's Association (PGA) Teaching Professional Scott Singhass, who was selected to start the program in December 2013.
Singhass is the head men's and women's golf coach at SU, having served as the head men's coach since August 2006.
In addition to more than 25 years of experience as a club and teaching professional, Singhass also served as the head coach of local high school power John Handley High School from 2002 through 2004. In this role, Singhass led the Judges to regular season and district tournament titles in 2003 and was later named Northwestern District Coach of the Year for his efforts.
Singhass has served as an assistant or head golf professional at five different clubs, including Winchester (Va.) Country Club and Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, Florida. Most recently, he was the assistant professional at Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club in Front Royal, Virginia.
As an assistant pro, Singhass was responsible for all aspects of running a pro shop, including tournament administration and running golf and individual lessons.
