Flint and Hargbol Grab League Honors

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Shenandoah University seniors Katherine Flint and Alexis Hargbol both earned All-USA South Conference honors in selections announced Wednesday by the conference office.

Flint, the team's leading scorer this season, earned second team honors for the second straight year while Hargbol is an honorable mention selection.

Flint led SU in scoring at 12.5 points per game, earned All-Tournament honors at Elizabethtown after leading the Hornets to a tournament championship and also had a team-high 122 assists in 2009-10.

On February 2, Flint became the 16th woman in school history to score 1000 career points with her final point in an 89-38 win over N.C. Wesleyan.

Flint was beaten to the 1000-point barrier by her classmate Hargbol, who cracked it in a win over Wilkes College in December.

A three-time All-USA South Conference selection, Hargbol finishes her career 10th all-time in points and second in rebounds.

This season, Hargbol was a two-time USA South Conference Player of the Week honoree, a member of the Susquehanna and Elizabethtown All-Tournament teams and the Elizabethtown Tournament MVP.

In the classroom, she was a second  team Academic All-District III selection by ESPN The Magazine.

The final honoree comes to the All-Sportsmanship team, where junior Crystal Williams is the school's representative to the 10-woman squad.
