Hargbol Earns USA South Honor

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Senior Alexis Hargbol has been USA South Conference women's basketball Player of the Week in selections Monday afternoon by the conference office.

Hargbol, who has earned this honor at least one time each year of her career, averaged 13.0 points and 11.5 rebounds in two contests last week.

Hargbol had 10 points and 14 boards in the Hornets 56-54 victory over No. 23 Mary Washington and then backed it up with 16 points in Sunday's 73-67 loss at St. Mary's.

Hargbol is now just 40 points from 1000 for her career and is on pace to break the mark this weekend at home in conference games against Methodist or Greensboro.

Shenandoah is back in action Wednesday evening at Christopher Newport in its conference opener.
