Track 12th at Dickinson

CARLISLE, Pa. - The Shenandoah University indoor track & field teams continued their strong seasons Saturday afternoon by finishing 12th at the Dickinson College Indoor Invitational.

The SU men were 12th of 16 teams and the women 12th of 15. Messiah won the women's event while the host Red Devils took the men's.

The Hornet distance medley relay team led the men's side with a second place finish in that event. Their time of 11:48.41 also set a new school record.

The women also had a second place finisher - sophomore Kelley Mitchell tossed the shot 11.11 meters to post a new school mark and give Mitchell her all-time best finish in that event.

Coach Andy Marrocco had six additional student-athletes earn top 10 finishes. Complete results are listed here.

Both teams are off next week and finish the indoor season in two weeks at the MAC championships.
