Captains Knock Men Out

BURLINGTON, N.C. - Second-seeded Christopher Newport University ended Shenandoah University's men's tennis season with a 9-0 win Friday morning in the USA South Conference Tournament quarterfinals.

The Captains (10-11) took a 3-0 lead after the doubles and then clinched it with 6-0, 6-2 victories at Nos. 3 and 4 singles.

Shenandoah (4-10) won just a single set in the match. Freshman Michael Milanov opened No. 1 singles with 7-5 win over Lorenzo Sison before Sison came back to win 6-0, 10-8 in sets two and three. The third set was played as a tie-breaker because the match result was already determined.
