Softball Schedule Cards Available

WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Thursday that schedule cards for its 2010 softball season are now available for both download and pickup.

The Hornets, who were announced as the pre-season No. 3 pick in the USA South Conference Wednesday afternoon, open the 2010 season on February 27 with a non-league home doubleheader against 2009 NCAA Tournament participant Lynchburg College.

Lynchburg is one of four schools on Shenandoah's 2010 schedule that earned a spot in last year's NCAA Tournament field. Coach Marlena Kotynski's team has six of those seven games scheduled against NCAA Tournament teams at home on Henkel-Harris Field.

The schedule cards, which are free, are available in the main lobby of Shingleton Gymnasium and in the Athletics office.
