WINCHESTER, Va. - Visiting Southern Virginia doubled up Shenandoah University in a 6-3 non-league men's tennis victory Thursday afternoon.

Southern Virginia (10-7) took a 2-1 lead over Shenandoah (1-10) after doubles thanks to wins at Nos. 1 and 3.

Brett Dubin and Evan Rosenberg avoided the sweep by taking a 9-7 victory at No. 2 over Zac Bowers and Jake Fisher.

In singles, SU was victorious at the top and bottom of the flight.

Matt Hwang was a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 winner at No. 1 while Kyler Apgar won at love at No. 6.

Hwang defeated Tanner Bassett and Apgar took out Weston Snelson.

Shenandoah is off until hosting Bridgewater in a 4 p.m. ODAC match on Wednesday, April 19.
