Tennis Swept at Methodist

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - The Shenandoah University men's and women's tennis teams were both swept Sunday morning in a pair of USA South Conference matches at Methodist.

The SU men and women both fell 9-0.

Vladimir Daskalov had the closest match for the men (0-9, 0-3 USA South), losing 6-3, 6-4 at No. 2 singles.

Dustan DeMello also battled hard, losing 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1.

On the women's side, Shannon Allin fell 6-2, 6-3 at No. 2.

The women's closest match came at No. 5, where Kelsey Brewster lost 6-4, 3-6, 0-1 (6-10) to Lindsie Bentham.

The SU women fall to 6-5, 3-3 with the loss.

The Methodist men are now 16-2 and the women 17-2.

Both teams are back in action at home on Wednesday with USA South matches against Christopher Newport.
