Three Named All-USA South

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Shenandoah University had three men's soccer players earn All-USA South honors in selections announced Wednesday by the conference office.

Senior Adam Aldinger and freshman Joan-Josep Vallejo Augsti were named to the league's second team at forward and back, respectively, while senior Karim Kamara rounded out the selections as an honorable mention selection at midfield.

Aldinger had his best season in his final campaign as a Hornet, scoring 11 goals and dishing out one assist in 17 games. Aldinger scored two goals against both Hood on September 14 and Stevenson on September 27 and was named as the league's Player of the Week two times during the fall.

Vallejo stepped in and totally solidified the team's defense from his stopper position. In 15 starts over 16 games, Vallejo also had an assist in a 1-1 draw with Washington & Lee on September 19.

Kamara started 16 of 17 games on the year and had one goal and three assists with his final assist coming on against Methodist in the season finale.

Freshman Chester Podd completed the team's picks with his placement on the All-Sportsmanship team.
