Bishops Blank Men's Soccer

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - Host N.C. Wesleyan remained undefeated in USA South Conference men's soccer play with a 4-0 victory over Shenandoah Saturday afternoon at Scalf Field.

The Bishops (10-2, 4-0) scored their opening goal in the 32nd minute before adding three additional goals in the second half over SU (0-11-2, 0-3).

Danny Persson scored the hosts second and third goals in the 54th and 63rd minutes before Oliver Madejski closed things out with his tally off of a Christopher Nelms service in the 66th minute.

Robert Ivanovich fed Benjamin Schmedes for that initial goal at 31:14.

Wesleyan outshot the Hornets 22-4 with SU keeper Brian Garretson making three saves in each half.

Box Score

Shenandoah is back in action next Saturday at Methodist.
