Men Drop Second Contest

HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. - Shenandoah University dropped its second straight contest to begin the 2008 men's soccer season, losing 2-1 to host Hampden-Sydney Sunday afternoon in the second round of the Arby's/Hampden-Sydney Classic.

H-SC (2-0) scored the initial goal 32 seconds into the second half before getting what proved to be the game-winner in the 69th minute.

Shenandoah (0-2) got an unassisted tally from Karim Kamara in 72nd minute.

The Tigers outshot SU 17-4 and had eight of the game's 11 corner kicks.

Shenandoah hosts Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday night at 7:30 in its home opener.
