FROSTBURG, Md. - Host Frostburg State used a strong start to
Saturday's non-league men's soccer game to key a 5-0 victory over
visiting Shenandoah.
FSU (4-2) scored two goals in a 38-second span in the 15th minute
of the game and added one more in the 31st minute to take a
commanding lead over the Hornets (0-7).
The Bobcats then sealed it with a goal 21 seconds into the second
half and another in the 63rd minute.
Shenandoah took a season-high nine shots, but Frostburg keeper Jay
Herford made five saves to preserve the victory.
Herford's counterpart, Arman
Bozorgmanesh, made six saves in just over 80 minutes of
action.
