Cardinals Steal Victory Over Men

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Shenandoah University held the advantage in men's soccer for the first time all season Thursday afternoon, but could not hold it in a 2-1 non-league loss at Catholic University.

SU (0-6) opened the game's scoring with an unassisted goal by L.A. St. Hill in the 23rd minute, but CUA (4-1) sandwiched a pair of goals around the half to secure the comeback victory.

Matt Brady tied it for the Cardinals just 94 seconds before halftime on a free kick; he then set up the game-winner 18 minutes after the break.

Brady fed Brian Pappas for what proved to be the game-winning goal, and the Catholic defense took care of the rest. The Cardinals held Shenandoah without a shot after Hill's goal - they outshot the Hornets 16-1 on the day.
