BRIDGEWATER, Va. - Host Bridgewater College kept the SU men's
soccer team winless on the 2008 season with a 4-0 non-league
victory Sunday afternoon.
BC (1-2) scored twice within the first 1:47 of the game and coasted
to the win over Shenandoah (0-5).
After Chris Thomas, who had assisted Ivan Barisic's goal at the 43
second mark, scored an unassisted goal at 1:47, the game was
without another goal until Matt Utz tallied for the Eagles in the
78th minute.
Barely three minutes later, the hosts finished off the day's
scoring with a Phil Raines to Chris Hulse goal.
Bridgewater outshot SU 20-9 and owned a 4-1 advantage in
corners.
