Mayor Earns CSAC Honor
ASTON, Pa. - Senior men's lacrosse player Stephen
Mayor has been named Colonial States Athletic Conference Player
of the Week in selections announced Monday by the CSAC office.
Mayor became the program's all-time leading scorer on Saturday
afternoon when he scored his sixth and final goal in a 10-8 loss at
Gwynedd-Mercy.
The goal, with 5:03 to play in the third quarter and gave SU a 7-6
lead, was the 150th of Mayor's career and his 192nd career
point.
The point total pushes Mayor past Chris Keller '03, who had 82
goals and 109 assists in his 52-game career from 2000 thru
2003.
Mayor, who has played in 43 games since coming to SU, owns eight
career scoring reocrds including goals, points and points per
game.
Mayor and the Hornets return to action on Saturday at Neumann in
another CSAC contest.
