FOREST, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's golf team is the pre-season No. 9 selection of the ODAC coaches in poll results released Tuesday afternoon by the league office.

The Hornets have 31 points in the poll to come in three points back of No. 8 Roanoke and five in front of tenth place Emory and Henry.

Perennial national power Guilford is the pick to win the league this season with nine first place votes and 99 points. 

Washington and Lee was second with two first place votes and 90 points with Virginia Wesleyan third at 80.

Voting was done on a 10-1 basis with coaches forbidden to vote for their own teams in the poll.

8. Roanoke -- 34 pts.
9. Shenandoah -- 31 pts.
10. Emory and Henry -- 26 pts.
