RICHMOND, Va. – The Shenandoah University men's golf team completed play Tuesday the 68th Annual VSGA Intercollegiate with a 14th place finish.
Playing for the second straight day over the par-71, 6725-yard Stonehenge Golf & Country Club,
Shenandoah shot a collective 317 Tuesday to fall to 14th in the 18-team event.
Senior Doc Schulte had a seven-over-par 78 for a 150 total to finish in a tie for 23rd place for coach Scott Singhass. Joseph Gesell carded a 79 and Blake Woodie an 83 to both come in at 156. The pair were part of a three-way tie for 57th.
Brett Dubin was the big mover on day two for the Hornets, moving up 12 spots thanks to a second round 77 for a 159 total.
Dubin finished in a tie for 68th.
Connor McCarthy had an 85 that did not count toward the team score and finished 79th after posting a two-day total of 164.
Ferrum's Damian Beasley backed up his two-under 69 from Monday to shoot 68 Tuesday and win the tournament by three strokes.
