Men's Golf Tenth

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Shenandoah University men's golf team completed its fall season with a 10th place finish at the 67th Annual VSGA Intercollegiate Championships.

Playing once again at the par-72, 6787-yard Williamsburg Country Club, Shenandoah carded a 325 Tuesday afternoon to improve by one position and finish 10th in the 14-team event.

SU finished four shots behind ODAC rival Lynchburg and five shots clear of No. 11 Roanoke.

Christopher Newport, with a 579 total, won the tournament by 16 strokes over Ferrum College.

Junior Blake Forst was the Hornets medalist with two-day total 152. Forst had a seven-over-par 79 on Tuesday after posting a 73 on Monday. He was tied for 11th overall.

Robert Fox had the day two lowest score for coach Scott Singhass' club. Fox improved by eight strokes Tuesday, carding a six-over 78.

Brett Dubin had 83 and Ryan Parker 85 to round out the Hornets total.

Brennan Lloyd had a 91 that did not count toward the team score.

Tuesday's round completes the fall season for SU. The complete spring schedule will be announced in January.
