HARRISONBURG, Va. - Shenandoah University fired a collective 310 Sunday afternoon to stand in 10th place after day one of the Tom Kinder Golf Invitational hosted by Bridgewater College.
Sophomore John Judy led the Hornets over the par 72, 6500-yard Lake and Peak nines at Lakeview Golf Club with a three-over-par 75.
Judy is tied for 18th overall in the 75-man field.
Sophomore Zach Ramey and senior Derek Snarr backed up Judy with a pair of 78s while senior Adam Delauter rounded out the qualifying scores with a 79.
Junior David Rynecki had an 85 that did not count toward the team total.
Host Bridgewater leads the tournament after shooting a four-over-par 292 with Washington & Lee two shots back at 294.
SU is one shot back of ninth place Roanoke and three strokes clear of both Virginia Wesleyan and Randolph-Macon.
The 15-team, 36-hole event concludes Monday.
