Wiegand Named Player of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Shenandoah University junior Josh Wiegand has been named USA South Conference Golfer of the Week in selections announced Wednesday by the conference office.

Wiegand helped the Hornets to a 10th place finish at this week's Virginia State Division III Championships with a 74-74--148 that was good enough for third place in the 12-team, 59-player tourney.

This is the second straight top three performance for Wiegand. Last week, he was second at the SU Invitational at Winchester Country Club. In that tournament, he had a tournament-low round of two-under-par 69 on day one.

This week's tournament concluded the fall season for the Hornets.
