Golf Stronger on Day Two
MEBANE, N.C. - Shenandoah University improved by nine strokes Saturday afternoon on day two of the USA South Conference Golf Championships but remains seventh in the three-day event.
SU shot a collective 376 on day two of the tournament being hosted at the par-72, 7004-yard Mill Creek course.
Junior Josh Wiegand had over half of that nine-stroke improvement, firing a five-over-par 77 to improve into a tie for 14th place.
National No. 1 remains the leader of the tournament with a collective two-under-par total. MU is 29 shots in front of Greensboro.
The tournament concludes Sunday.
