
WHITE LAKE, N.C. - Shenandoah University shot a collective
315-328--643 this weekend at the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate
hosted by UNC-Pembroke to finish 13th overall.
Senior Taylor Chamberlin paced the Hornets over the par 72,
6925-yard Carolina Sands course with a three-over-par 75 on
Saturday and had a 84 Sunday.
Chamberlin finished his first round tied for 26th overall in the
16-team, 89-player tournament.
Despite giving 13 shots back Sunday, the Hornets maintained the
13th place spot they held after day one. SU defeated Ferrum,
Division II Chowan and N.C. Wesleyan in its final tune-up before
the USA South Conference championship in 11 days.
