Snarr Named Player of the Week

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - Freshman Derek Snarr has been named USA South Conference golf Rookie of the Week in selections announced Wednesday by the conference office.

Snarr led the Hornets to a sixth place finish at Monday and Tuesday's Hampden-Sydney Invitational with a 10-over-par 154 that was good for tied for fourth overall.

This is the first conference honor for the Woodstock native.

Snarr and his teammates complete the fall season next week at the Virginia State Division III Championships.
