The Shenandoah University women's field hockey program entered a new era in June 2011 with the addition of Kim Iman-Bianchi as head coach.

Iman-Bianchi, a Virginia Beach native, came to Shenandoah after serving as Project Team Developer for the U.S. Field Hockey National Training Center in Virginia Beach.

Iman-Bianchi also has been a head coach in the Olympic Development program at the training center since 2006 and served as an assistant coach at Christopher Newport University from 2004 through 2010.

The Captains made NCAA Tournament appearances in three of her seasons as lead assistant, including a trip to the Elite 8 in 2006.

A 2007 graduate of the University of Phoenix, Iman-Bianchi (playing as Kim Iman) played her collegiate field hockey at Longwood University. The Lancers played in four ECAC Tournaments during her career, winning the title in her senior season, and Iman-Bianchi was the team captain and MVP for her final two seasons.

Iman-Bianchi was named as a four-time All-America and earned Longwood female Athlete of the Year honors in 1999.

As a high school player at Frank W. Cox in Virginia Beach, she won four state titles and set numerous state records including career shutouts, shutouts in a season and most consecutive shutouts.

Stephanie Bair begins her coaching career as Kim Iman-Bianchi's top assistant coach.

Bair, a 2011 Christopher Newport University graduate, comes to Shenandoah after starring for the Captains for four seasons.

Iman-Bianchi was on the CNU staff for the first three years of Bair's Christopher Newport career.

In addition to her playing career, Bair served a FUTURES head coach in 2009-10 after starting out as assistant coach from 2007-09.

Bair also has worked numerous summer camps.

As a player at CNU, Bair helped the Captains to three NCAA Tournaments and was team captain in her senior year.

Bair earned All-Region and All-State honors in 2009.

With the Hornets, Bair will be involved in all aspects of the program.

Meredith Bloomfield

Meredith Bloomfield rounds out coach Kim Iman-Bianchi's staff as a volunteer assistant coach.

Bloomfield comes to Shenandoah after a 10-year high school assistant career at Woodbridge H.S. in Woodbridge, Virginia and a collegiate playing career at Virginia Tech.

A 2002 Tech grad, Bloomfield earned Dean's List honors in her sophomore and senior years.
