Field Hockey Adds Seven
WINCHESTER, Va. - Head Field Hockey Coach Lois Bowers announced Thursday that she has added seven women into her program for the 2009 season.
These seven women, natives of Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, will assist Bowers as her program will have conference competition for the first time this fall.
Since the program's inception in 2002, field hockey has competed as an independent. In January 2008, it was announced that the team was accepted into the MAC Commonwealth for field hockey and the Hornets will play their first MAC game this year.
