Kalvin Oliver is in his ninth season as an assistant coach with the football program after completing his eligibility in the fall of 2003.

In June 2012, Oliver was promoted from his part-time role into a full-time position.

Oliver takes the full-time spot previously held by Tyrone Bell.

Oliver has been involved in the program since it was reinstated in 2000.

He was one of 13 players that came to SU to help start the program in 2000 and stayed all four years. During his playing career, Oliver played in all 39 games and is second all-time in sacks with 11.

His primary coaching responsibility is with the defensive line.
