Kalvin Oliver is in his 14th season as an assistant coach with the football program after completing his eligibility in the fall of 2003.
In June 2012, Oliver was promoted from his part-time role into a full-time position and possesses the longest tenure of anyone on the SU staff.
The Hornets defensive line coach during his entire tenure on staff, Oliver was promoted in August 2017 to run game coordinator under defensive coordinator Brock McCullough.
He adds this role in addition to his responsibility as the special teams coordinator.
Oliver has been involved in the program since it was reinstated in 2000.
He was one of 13 players that came to SU to help start the program in 2000 and stayed all four years. During his playing career, Oliver played in all 39 games and is second all-time in sacks with 11.
Oliver and his wife, Stephanie, are the parents of a son, Kaeden.
