Beatty Named All-South

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Shenandoah University senior defensive back Dionte Beatty has been named second team All-South Region by D3football.com in picks announced Tuesday by the publication.

Beatty, a cornerback, was selected All-Region for the third straight year after leading the Hornets with four interceptions this past fall.

A three-time first team All-USA South Conference selection, Beatty finished third on the team in tackles this season with 65 stops (38 solo). Beatty also had two sacks, a team-high six passes defensed and forced one fumble in addition to blocking a field goal attempt.

Beatty was one of 11 USA South Conference players named to one of the three teams selected by D3football.com.
