WINCHESTER, Va. - The Shenandoah University baseball team has a pair of rising seniors playing in the Valley Baseball League this summer.
Nick Beall and Nick McMahon are both playing for the Haymarket Senators in the North Division of the 12-team VBL.
Beall has played in 11 straight games since joining the team on June 7 and has six hits on the year.
His best game came on June 11 versus Front Royal as Beall went 2 for 4 with two RBI in a 4-3 win over the Cardinals.
McMahon, who joined the Senators at the same time as Beall, has pitched 4 1/3 innings over three appearances in the past 10 days.
In that time, he has six strikeouts against just two walks.
Haymarket hosts Harrisonburg tonight and the duo make their next return to Winchester on June 30 when they take on the North Division leading Royals.
