Baseball Ranked in ABCA Poll

ALLENTOWN, Pa. - The Shenandoah University baseball team is the nation's No. 10 squad in a ranking poll released Tuesday morning by the American Baseball Coaches Association.

The Hornets, 15-5 this season after sweeping Greensboro over the weekend, extend their ranking streak with their spot in the initial ABCA poll of the regular season.

Shenandoah, which was among 'others receiving votes' in the pre-season poll after finishing last year at No. 5, has been ranked in every ABCA poll since May 5, 2009.

SU has two victories this season over teams ranked in the ABCA poll. The Hornets opened the year with a 4-2 win over No. 8 Cortland (N.Y.) State and downed No. 18 Bridgewater 8-3 this past Thursday.

Trinity (Texas) is the top team in the ABCA poll.

Coach Kevin Anderson's club is back in action this afternoon against Randolph-Macon.
