Senior Cory Nelson (1-3) was one out away from his second straight shutout on the mound (and the team's third straight in conference play) when Clark tied the game on an infield single.
Andre Nichols scored that game-tying run when he led reached on a hit by pitch, advanced to second on a single and to third on a fielder's choice before coming home on Clark's single to short.
The Hornets had runners in scoring position in the sixth, ninth, 10th and 11th innings but could push across an insurance runs.
Beall led the offense with two hits.
Nelson allowed two runs on six hits and one walk in 10 1/3 innings pitched. He struck out two in the second longest pitching performance in school history.
Jake Swarthout (2-1) earned the win with 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief.
