Head Out to the Ballpark
WINCHESTER, Va. - As part of its celebration of 50 years in
Winchester, Shenandoah University is offering free admission to an
upcoming Winchester Royals Valley League baseball game.
The Royals, who use the same home facility, Bridgeforth Field, as
the Shenandoah Hornets baseball team, will host VBL rival
Harrisonburg on Saturday, June 26 at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is free for all fans that night and the first 500 fans through the gate will receive a free SU seat cushion.
Winchester is currently 6-4 in the VBL this season, just one game out of first place. Keaton Neeb, a rising sophomore for the Hornets, has played in two games so far this summer for the Royals.
Neeb is one of five players from the 2010 USA South and South Region champion Shenandoah program involved in the Valley League in 2010. Rising seniors and first team All-Americans Kevin Brashears and Greg Van Sickler play for the Front Royal Cardinals while Jesse Henry '10 and Jon Holcomb '10 are on the Cards staff as assistant coaches.
