Hornets Finish Seventh
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Shenandoah University finished seventh in the D3baseball.com Top 25 poll released Wednesday evening by the website.
SU, the two-time defending South Region baseball Champions, moved up two positions in the final poll of the season.
Shenandoah had 440 points in the poll to come in behind fellow 2010 NCAA Championship participant UW-Stevens Point and just ahead of UW-Whitewater.
Illinois Wesleyan, which beat the Hornets on the opening night of the championships on its way to the national title, received 23 first-place votes and 620 points to finish in the top spot.
SUNY-Cortland, which fell to the Titans in the national championship game, garnered the other two first-place votes and 592 points to come in the No. 2 spot.
This is the second straight season that SU has finished the season seventh in the D3baseball.com poll.
