Baseball Holds in D3baseball Poll


MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Shenandoah University remains as the nation's 13th ranked baseball team in a poll released Tuesday morning by D3baseball.com.

The Hornets, who have been idle for the past 10 days, have 324 points to easily outdistance Eastern Connecticut for the No. 13 spot in the NCBWA/D3baseball.com Week 10 poll.

This is the second straight week that SU has been ranked 13th. Shenandoah, which is awaiting placement in the NCAA playoffs after winning the USA South Conference Tournament, has been ranked in every poll this season.

Johns Hopkins, the Centennial Conference champions, is the nation's top-ranked team again this week. The Blue Jays received 23 of a possible 25 first-place votes.

The NCAA playoff field will be announced on May 17.
