Hornets 13th in D3baseball Poll

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Shenandoah University comes in as the nation's No. 13 team in the week nine NCBWA/D3baseball.com poll released Tuesday morning by the website.

The Hornets, who co-lead the nation with 34 wins, have 333 points in this week's poll to come in just behind Cortland (N.Y.) State.

Shenandoah is one of five teams to already have qualified for the NCAA Tournament and is the highest ranked of those schools. Trinity (Texas), which clinched its spot by winning the SCAC Tournament this past weekend, is ranked 14th with 297 points.

Johns Hopkins (Md.) is the No. 1 team for the second straight week. The Blue Jays received 23 of a possible 25 first-place votes and 623 points.

SU has completed its regular season and returns to action on May 19 with the first round of NCAA Regional play. The opponent and regional will be announced May 17.
