MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Shenandoah University remains the nation's 23rd ranked baseball team in the week three poll released Tuesday morning by D3baseball.com.
The Hornets, who won four of five games last week, stay at No. 23 for the second straight week with 89 total points.
Defending national champion St. Thomas (Minn.) is the nation's No. 1 team for the fourth straight poll with Wooster (Ohio) second.
This is the 12th straight poll that Shenandoah has been ranked in the nation's Top 25 dating back to March 29, 2009.
SU is the only USA South Conference team in the poll, although Ferrum, Christopher Newport and Methodist were among the teams receiving votes in the week three poll.
The Hornets return to the diamond this evening with a non-league game against Virginia Wesleyan. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.; the game was originally scheduled for 3:30 but was changed in order to give the field more time to dry out from this past weekend's rain showers.
