Baseball Falls to 20

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Shenandoah University is the nation's 20th ranked baseball team in the NCBWA/D3baseball.com week one poll released Wednesday by D3baseball.com.

After starting the season as the No. 9 team in the pre-season poll, SU falls to No. 20 in week one after splitting its opening six contests.

Shenandoah is the only USA South Conference team to be ranked in the poll and one of just two (Virginia Wesleyan is the other) from the commonwealth of Virginia.

This is the 10th consecutive poll that the Hornets have been ranked in the nation's Top 25. SU entered the rankings for the first time ever on March 29, 2009 and has been ranked each week since.

Shenandoah is scheduled to travel to Bridgewater for a Thursday non-league game and hosts Immaculata on Friday in its home opener.
