As a sophomore: set a new school record for hits in a game with a 6 for 6 performance in a 35-13 win over St. Joseph's (L.I.) on March 25... drove in five runs and missed the cycle by not hitting a triple in that contest... named USA South Conference Player of the Week on March 29 after leading the Hornets to five wins in six games... hit .650 for the week... the 6 for 6 evening was part of a string of nine straight plate appearances in which he reached base... named to the USA South All-Tournament team...  hit a tournament-high four HR as the Hornets claimed their first-ever league title... grabbed a spot on the Fayetteville Regional All-Tournament team... hit a three-run HR in the championship game... As a freshman: named USA South Conference Rookie Pitcher of the Week after downing PSU-Altoona 10-1 in his pitching debut... also had a pair of home runs and hit .455 during that week... earned USA South Rookie Hitting honors on March 30 after getting seven hits, including three home runs as SU won five straight games... earned another hitting honor on April 13 after hitting .429 in five games the previous week... had three hits in the N.C. Wesleyan series... earned honorable mention All-USA South honors at designated hitter... was named to the Salisbury Regional All-Tournament team after hitting .467 with two doubles and a home run... also drove in four runs... earned second team All-South Region honors from the ABCA... capped his year by being named first team All-State and Rookie of the Year by the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association...
