Baseball Enters Rankings

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Shenandoah University baseball team has entered the NCBWA/D3baseball.com Top 25 rankings in the week six poll released Tuesday morning. The Hornets, 22-4 and winners of six straight, are No. 24 in this week's poll with 90 points.

SU is one of three USA South Conference teams in the poll - Christopher Newport is No. 18 this week while Methodist is one of 29 other teams to receive votes towards the top 25.

This is the first-time since 2000 that the Hornets baseball team has been ranked nationally. In that season, Shenandoah was ranked on two different occasions in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) poll.

SU, the nation's leader in runs scored, is back in action tomorrow afternoon at Washington & Lee.
