INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Shenandoah University baseball team has earned its first-ever NCAA statistical title in final rankings released June 3rd.
The Hornets, who scored a school-record 511 runs on their way to 38 wins and an appearance in the NCAA Championships, won the title by 21 runs over NCAA Regional participant Eastern Connecticut State.
SU finished the year in the top 10 in four other categories including batting average.
Individually, sophomore Kevin Brashears finished the year second in total runs and fifth in runs per game.
