Baseball No. 3 in South Region
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - Shenandoah University earned its first-ever regional baseball ranking in selections announced Thursday by the NCAA office.
The NCAA ranked the top 15 percent of teams eligible for the 54-team championship in each of the nation's eight regions and Shenandoah is third in the South with a 25-7 regional record.
Coach Kevin Anderson's squad is 31-8 overall with a regional contest at Stevenson Thursday afternoon.
After falling in the USA South Conference Tournament championship on Sunday, the Hornets are fighting for 14 Pool C national berths into this year's tourney. The tournament field will be selected on Sunday, May 9.
