Baseball Moves to No. 20

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Shenandoah University baseball improved four spots in this week's NCBWA/D3baseball.com Top 25 rankings to No. 20 in the nation in the week seven poll released Tuesday morning. The Hornets, who are off to a best-in-school-history 24-5 start, have 116 points this week's poll.

SU is one of three USA South Conference teams in the poll - Christopher Newport falls to No. 24 this week while Methodist is one of 29 other teams to receive votes towards the top 25.

This is the highest that Shenandoah has ever been ranked in baseball and is just the four time in school history that the team has appeared in a national poll. In 2000, Shenandoah was ranked on two different occasions in the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) poll.

SU, the nation's leader in runs scored, is back in action tonight against St. Joseph's (L.I.).
