Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium Information

Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium was constructed in 2001 with additions of a press box in 2002, a Route 50 access road in 2004, a game-day lockerroom in 2006 and an artificial turf in-fill system in 2008. The lighted stadium seats 3000 people and has a permanent naming rights agreement with the Shenandoah Telecommunication Company of Edinburg, Virginia.

Shenandoah University plays all of its home football, men's and women's soccer, women's field hockey and men's and women's lacrosse games on Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium.

 

Football Game Day Information

Tickets: $5.00 per general admission seat and children under six are admitted free of charge. General Admission tickets are sold at Gate 2 on the home side and at the visitor entrance (Gate 6). Reserved tickets are available on a season ticket basis only and can be purchased by calling 540.665.4566.  All SU faculty, staff and students are admitted free with proper SU ID.

Complimentary Ticket Policy: Shenandoah University students with valid I.D. receive complimentary admission to all regular season athletic events.  Employees (faculty and staff) receive complimentary admission for themselves and one guest to all regular season athletic contests.  All students and employees must present their Shenandoah University I.D. at the ticket gate.

Visitors Side: All fans of the visiting teams are encouraged to enter at Gate 6 and sit behind the visiting team sideline.

Parking: $5.00 for the grass lot (Lot G) immediately behind the home stands. Parking is free on main campus and is a 4/10 of a mile walk to the stadium. The paved lot (Lot P) is for parking pass holders only. To purchase either a Lot P or Lot G pass, please call the athletic department at 540.665.4566. 

Handicap Access Parking: There is handicap parking access on both sides of Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium. 

Restrooms: There are men's and women's bathrooms located on both the home and visitors sides of the stadium. On the home side, the men's restroom is to the scoreboard side and the women's is to the End Zone Building side. Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium is ADA-compliant.

Concessions: Concessions are available on both the home and visitors sides through agreements with Sodexo, Papa John's Pizza, Classic Kettlekorn and Pepsi-Cola.

Pets: There are no pets (other than medical service dogs) allowed at Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium.

Smoking: There is no smoking in the seating areas of Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium.

Directions: The proper address for Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium is 1122 Shockey Drive, Winchester, Virginia 22601 and is located immediately east of Interstate 81 on the Shenandoah University campus. Fans wishing to enter the stadium should enter from Route 50 off of I-81. From Route 50 East, turn left at Tulane Drive and follow directly into stadium. Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Soccer Game Day Information

Tickets: There is a $5 charge for non-conference regular season events for these sports.

Parking: Parking is free in both the paved and grass lots.

Handicap Access Parking: There is handicap parking access adjecent to the main entrance to Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium. Handicap patrons must have proper placards for their vehicles. 

Restrooms: There are men's and women's bathrooms located immediately behind the bleachers on the press box side of the stadium. All fans sit on this side for field hockey, lacrosse and soccer. The north side of the stadium (the side on which the teams sit) is closed except for football games.
