Hoops and Baseball Postpone

WINCHESTER, Va. - With over 30 inches of snow on the ground and up to another foot forecast for Tuesday night into Wednesday, Shenandoah University has announced the following schedule changes.

The men's and women's basketball doubleheader versus Ferrum scheduled for Wednesday, February 10, has been postponed until Thursday.

Game times on Thursday will be the same as they would have been Wednesday: 5:30 for the women's game and 7:30 for the men's.

These contests will continue to be a part of the NCAA "Take a Kid to the Game" program. All children under the age of 12 will be admitted free to the games with the purchase of an adult ticket.

The baseball team, which was scheduled to open its 2010 season on Saturday at the ODAC/USA South Conference Challenge, is now scheduled to open its campaign on February 20 with a home doubleheader against Misericordia (Pa.).

A decision on makeup dates for the Hornets baseball games with Virginia Wesleyan, Guilford and Lynchburg colleges, all part of the Challenge, has not been made at this time.
