Fall Schedules Released
WINCHESTER, Va. - Shenandoah University released its fall 2010 schedules for men's and women's cross country, field hockey, football, men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball Thursday morning.
The university has scheduled 37 home dates in those seven sports and 30 of those dates feature games played on the Sprint Field at Shentel Stadium turf.
Seventeen home events will start after 6 p.m.
Homecoming 2010 is scheduled for the weekend of October 15-17 with three teams: women's field hockey, men's soccer and football, scheduled to play at home on the 16th.
The football game, against USA South opponent Methodist, is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
Four of the Hornets five home football games will kick off at 7 p.m. Only the home finale, on November 6 versus N.C. Wesleyan, will kick off during the day. That game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start.
The football schedule is a mirror image, switching only the home and away locations, of the 2009 schedule. This is just the third time in school history that the program will play the same 10 opponents in the same order in consecutive years.
